Expecting in December, shared the news with joy

She was gonna be a mother  to two little boys 

September brought the babies and a loss of innocence

From barely glowing embers to ashes in the wind

 

Here and gone too soon

Merely a phase of the moon

Maybe she’ll feel whole again, breathe in again

When the Magnolias bloom

 

Wading through the autumn,  reaching for the spring  

She was looking for a blossom in the remnant of a dream 

Packed the blankets, cards, and photos, doing what she had to do 

Trying to let go of the picture that she drew... it was

 

Here and gone too soon

Merely a phase of the moon

Maybe she’ll feel whole again, breathe in again

When the Magnolias bloom

 

Now she’s rocking in a glider with a daughter in her arms 

And guardian angel brothers nestled in her heart... they were

 

Here and gone too soon

And she will always think of them

When the Magnolias bloom
