Sharon came to songwriting after a 30+ year career as a Computer Science researcher and software engineer. She started writing songs when she decided, somewhat on a whim, to join a group songwriting class. She was delighted to find that the intellectual side of the craft of songwriting has a lot in common with writing software, with the added benefit of getting to bring her heart to the work.

Sharon's first EP, How I Remember You, was released in 2023. Recording was never really a goal of her musical forays until 2022, when several things came together: a song ("Seventeen Again") that she wrote after a personal loss, an opportunity to work with songwriting coach and music producer Mary Bragg, a planned trip to New York, and a desire to have a recording of "Seventeen Again" to share with friends and family. The recording bug bit during that first recording session and the result is this collection of six songs that explore themes of love, loss, grief, hope, and remembrance.

Notes to Self, released in 2025, is Sharon's first full-length album. All eight songs were co-written with Mary Bragg, who also produced the album. It was recorded in Nashville, TN over three sessions in 2024 and 2025.
